Kids Care Clubs, a program of Points of Light & Hands On Network, has been trusted by parents, teachers and youth leaders for many years to provide projects and information that promote compassion and the spirit of service and philanthropy in children. Your privacy is important to us. Our ongoing commitment to the protection of your privacy is essential to maintaining the relationship of trust that exists between Kidscare.org and all of our users, whether they are organizations, facilitators or other visitors to the site. This notice of our privacy policy is intended to help you understand our online information security practices.

Collecting Information

Kids Care Clubs collects registration information (including contact name, mailing address, e-mail address and phone numbers of all individuals and organizations that join our organization online and offline), as well as survey information (including projects participated in, number of youth participants, and number of people impacted by projects). This data is collected only when submitted by the individual to Kids Care Clubs.

Collecting Information from Children

In order to start a club you must be part of an organization. If you are under 18 years of age, talk to your parent, teacher, or youth group leader about registering and starting a club. Kids Care Clubs does not collect information from children. Thank you for your cooperation. At Kids Care Clubs, we believe in safe, healthy, and engaged kids and communities.

Uses of Information

The information we collect online about you and your organization is used to facilitate the involvement of young people in hands-on service activities and track the success and impact of our program.

We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive. We may use our e-mail lists for sending out our newsletter and other Kids Care Clubs outbound communications. We do not, however, sell, rent or trade our e-mail addresses to outside parties.

We share aggregate information about our users with certain third parties. This information shows user activity as a whole rather than on an individual basis and cannot be used to individually identify you. We use aggregated information we collect about users to continue to improve our service for you.

This site contains links to other sites. Kids Care Clubs is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.

Kids Care Clubs may facilitate the involvement of young people in hands on service activities in partnership with third parties in order to provide additional benefits for our members and visitors. In connection with such services, to the extent that you have provided any personal information to us using these jointly developed services, Kids Care Clubs may share e-mail addresses or other information with the applicable partner. Each of our partners has its own policies regarding the collection and use of personal information and Kids Care Clubs is not responsible for their use of your information.

Occasionally, journalists and writers contact us to interview active clubs. In such cases, we contact the club facilitator (contact) for permission to disclose their name and phone number before giving them to the writer.

Choice

Individuals who are registered at our online site and wish to be removed can send us an e-mail with such request at kidscare@pointsoflight.org. However, we may require additional information to verify that request.

Security

Kids Care Clubs will take appropriate measures to protect collected information from loss, theft, misuse or alteration.

Incorrect Information

If Kids Care Clubs has registered incorrect information about your organization you can correct that information by sending an e-mail to kidscare@pointsoflight.org or by calling 203-656-8052. We may request additional information to verify changes.

Quaker Moms Care

Photography and Stories

Success stories and photos submitted to Kids Care Clubs may be published by both Kids Care Clubs and Quaker solely in connection with Kids Care Clubs program.
